YOUTH FAITH DEVELOPMENT

Children’s Catechumenate

This program works with children who have had no formal religious education.  Children, who are in the elementary grades, but who have not received the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation or Holy Communion, would participate in this program.  Classes are held every Sunday after Mass from September through Pentecost.

Parishioners who would like to volunteer as a catechist are always welcome.  A catechist must actively practice their faith and be willing to give a couple of hours every Sunday.  The benefits are working with children and parents who are truly happy to be there.

Life Teen

LifeTeen is an exciting youth ministry program, which is centered on the Mass and Eucharist, with the liturgy and music geared towards teens.  The Masses are on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm, at St. Joseph’s Parish in Imperial.  Following the Mass high school age teens are invited to attend the LifeNight.   LifeNights are specifically geared to High School aged teens, where teens explore their faith and the issues they face daily.  We have partnered with St. David’s and St. Joseph’s to bring this exciting program to our area.  The LifeNights will last until 9:00 pm.
