5 May 2007, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.: NAMI Family Skills Workshop: Child-onset Emotional Disorders and Their Treatment. This free workshop will feature a child psychiatrist who will present a keynote address at 9:00 until 11:45. There will be six breakout sessions on various topics; such as, Advocating for an Appropriate Education for Your Child and information about our Signature Program-- Visions for Tomorrow. There will also be representatives of local alternative schools presenting information about thier programs. Contintental and lunch are provided and no cost. Parking is available and free if you park in the C9 garage only. The garage is located across from the hotel at 9th and Cole. 10 May 2007, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.: NAMI Second Thursday Program "What to Expect When Someone with a Mental Illness is Incarcerated." Speaker: Larry Daniels, Family Member. Larry Daniels will discuss and answer questions about issues that arise when a person with a mental illness is involved in the criminal justice system.

26 May 2007, 8:00 a.m.: NAMI Walks for the Minds of America. Located in the upper Muny Parking Lot in Forest Park. Walk Distance is 5K (3.1 miles) and 1 mile. Speaker: Fran Grecco Ms. Grecco will discuss why you may need to Guardianship or Conservatorship, how to get them, and the difference between them. She will also go over the court process to obtain them.
