OUR
LADY’S SODALITY
IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
An organization uniting the women of the parish
We are a group of women joined with the guidance of the Virgin Mary to help our parish, members of our parish and also have a little fun ourselves!
Our current officers are:
President Debby Beck 282-3046
Vice-President Sharon Ott 296-3655
Secretary Geri Kohler 296-8819
Treasurer Cookie Prindiville 296-2157
Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 P.M. Depending on the amount of business we need to cover and any activities going on, the meeting is over by 8:00 or 8:30. If you need a ride or would prefer not coming alone, please call one of the officers.
The meeting is begun with prayer to Our Lady asking for guidance, and her blessing. Next, we have the reading of minutes of the last meeting, discussion of old business, and any new business. We have a drawing for an attendance prize, and after movement to adjourn the meeting and our closing prayer, you are welcome to stay and enjoy a piece of cake, a cup of coffee, and socialize.
Our meetings are suspended for the summer months (June, July, & August) so that our members can spend quality time with families. There is always so much to do during the summer, especially if you have children home from school. Although there are no meetings, we try to schedule an activity or two. It may be a Day of Recollection, or a daytrip to a winery, we always have a wonderful time. It’s a nice way to keep in touch with the ladies over the summer. We also attend 8:30 Mass twice a year (as a group) once in May and again in October. Watch the bulletin for the exact date; usually it is the third Sunday of the month.
Our Lady’s Sodality is known for many things, particularly, our Christmas Cookie Sale, Trivia Night, and annual Book Sale. I don’t want to overwhelm you with too much information, and there’s always time to find out about these events.
Inside Our Lady’s Sodality, we have several committees that you might be interested in volunteering to help occasionally. It is not required that you volunteer for any committee, nor is it required that you pay a dues or any other fee.
